Climbing fun! Kentisbeare School, part of the Culm Valley Federation, recently asked our sales team at Rhino Play what they could get for £5,000 of hard earned fundraised money. When we showed them that we could design, supply and install a complete Citadel Climber for that budget, they were delighted. The school ordered the equipment from us and we duly installed it within a few weeks.
The brief was refreshingly clear. The school had a £5,000 budget raised by the school community and wanted to know what they could achieve with that sum. They were looking for a single piece of equipment that would offer plenty of play value, hold up for the long term, and give the children something genuinely exciting to use at break times.
After discussing the options with the school, we recommended our Citadel Log Climber from the Rhino Play adventure climbers range. It is a versatile, robust climbing unit that packs a lot of play value into a relatively small footprint, making it a brilliant choice for a school that wanted one really impressive feature rather than several smaller ones.
The combination of elements delivers a varied climbing experience, with opportunities to build grip strength, balance, co ordination and confidence – all in a single unit. You can explore more options in our traverse and climbing walls and adventure climbers ranges.
Due to the installation taking place in a very wet winter, the site was a mud bath for our poor installers. Nevertheless, the team worked tirelessly to install the climber to everyone’s satisfaction, giving the children of Kentisbeare Primary School a nice new climber in readiness for Spring.
For a £5,000 budget, the school has ended up with a properly challenging, great looking and long lasting Citadel Log Climber that will serve the children for years to come. It is a brilliant example of how thoughtful specification and a realistic, honest conversation about budget can deliver something far more impressive than a generic off the shelf piece.
