Embankment Play

At Rhino Play, we see slopes and banks as an opportunity, not a problem. Our embankment play equipment is designed to work with the landscape, using the existing gradient to create slides, tunnels and climbers that sit close to the ground. The result is a natural, inclusive play experience with lower fall heights, ideal for schools, nurseries and community spaces looking to get more from a sloped or uneven site.

Embankment play is all about working with your site rather than against it. Where a traditional freestanding structure might need levelling, groundworks and extensive safety surfacing, embankment equipment is set into the slope itself. Children climb, scramble and slide close to ground level, which keeps things safe while still delivering plenty of challenge and fun.

Because the equipment sits low against the ground, embankment play is often one of the most inclusive options available. It suits everyone from EYFS children finding their feet to confident primary-age climbers, and it can be a natural fit for SEN playground settings where lower, gentler challenge is welcome.
