Sustainability & Longevity of our Recycled Play Equipment – Tavistock Town Council, West Devon – October 2026

The sustainability & Longevity of our Recycled Play Equipment was utmost in the decision making for a substantial piece of new equipment for their prestigious ‘Meadows Play Area’ in the centre of Tavistock, West Devon.

Rhino Play were awarded the project due to being able to offer our non rotting, non splintering, non splitting, sustainable & appealing recycled plastic play equipment. The project began in early summer of 2026 & was opened by the summer holidays. There however was a considerable challenge to this project & that was to make the new item along with it’s safety surfacing fit within a half moon area of grass. Again we were chosen as we could be very adaptable in design, whilst still complying with BSEN1176 regs. We did discover the remains of an old pond or pool underneath the grass which did cause delays, however all challenges were well overcome & there now stands a fantastic new piece of play equipment aimed at 5-12 years & teens.

The beauty of our design & sales process is that we can quote to adapt to individual areas whilst still offering the same fantastic play equipment that’s built to last for a very long time using our excellent 100% recycled plastic materials.

As this unit sits in the centre of this very prestigious park, then the design & colour scheme had to work, as did the age range appeal & material characteristics. We at Rhino Play have met & exceeded this with the finished result, as can be seen in the photos taken at the end of September 2026.

Thank you to all at Tavistock Town Council for using Rhino Play SW Ltd for this fantastic project. We look forward to working with you again soon.
