How Did Rhino Play Help Ayr Holiday Park?

Ayr Holiday Park wanted a brand new playground area where their guests could let their children play, run, jump and burn off excess energy in a safe environment. At Rhino Play, we pride ourselves on creating high-quality, fun and exciting playgrounds where children can enjoy, exervicse and express themselves.

The HMS Trident is a huge piece of playground equipment, measuring at 17 metres long by 12 metres wide. The park wanted a play area which would appeal to children of all ages and abilities, and with its wide range of features it certainly does that!

The HMS Trident includes a wide range of play features which encourage children to engage in creative and dynamic play, such as:

• Bridges – children can ignite their imaginations and practise their balance as they race across the bridge to different sections and areas of the boat.
• Tunnels – crawling through tunnels not only challenges children’s gross motor skills but also gives plenty of hiding and play opportunities.
• Nets – climbing through, up or across the range of cargo nets included in the play design helps children to build their hand-eye coordination, as well as a wealth of other skills they need to develop.
• Ramps – the crooked ship has several ramps designed similar to our traverse and climbing walls to help children with their problem-solving skills.
• Slides – no one is ever sad whilst on a slide. The covered tube slide can provide children with hours of entertainment.
• Ship features – masts, helms, portholes and a wide range of sea creatures are all included in the design of this ship, helping to ignite children’s imaginations where they can pretend they are pirates, treasure hunters, explorers or anything else!

The large ship has been installed on our rubber grass safety matting. This unique playground safety surfacing allows the grass to grow through the matting so it’s virtually invisible.

Benefits Of Installing Rhino Play Playground Equipment

We worked closely with Ayr Holiday Park to ensure we were creating a playground that fitted their requirements. Due to their proximity to the sea, we wanted to ensure we included as many nautical elements as possible. We also linked the boat colours with the company branding, with a hint of blue across the play unit.

The newly installed shop play unit at the holiday park will not only give parents a safe and exciting place for their children to enjoy and make new friends, but it can also help to build children’s confidence and develop the following skills:
