Rhino Play recently completed installing a new trim trail course at Plymbridge Nursery, Plymouth. After being recommended by a local school for our high-quality, bespoke playground equipment products, designing and planning, installation and maintenance services, the nursery managers contacted the team at Rhino Play to create a low-level trail suitable for nursery aged children.
The nursery wanted to create an attractive, fun and safe environment for the children to play and socialise in, with equipment which would help encourage the following skills in the children:
We wanted to create an area where children had the option to try equipment they felt comfortable and safe on, while also allowing them to challenge themselves. So we designed and installed a low-level train with various routes and free play options, so children of all abilities could enjoy the new playground equipment.
The area already had various existing features, which we had to work around, but the grass surface made the ideal area to create a safe trim trail for the children. We built the trail using:
Adding a trim trail to your nursery is a fantastic way to encourage children to be active outdoors, allowing them to use different types of problem-solving, movement and coordination alone or as a team.
Helping the children build their confidence, social relationships with one another and fitness levels.
The low-level trim trail can be enjoyed safely by nursery-aged children and we have ensured to have large open areas around the trim trail so nursery staff can assist and supervise whilst the children enjoy the new playground equipment.
