Outdoor Multi Gym for Millborne Port – Yeovil, Somerset – November 2025

In November 2025 Rhino Play SW Ltd completed a bespoke climber for Millborne Port Parish Council near Sherborne in Dorset.

The Climbing & Outdoor Gym Combination

The Parish Council approached us with a clear vision: they wanted to provide outdoor fitness equipment for older children and teenagers in their community. Rather than settling for standard off-the-shelf equipment, the client requested certain climbing frames and outdoor gym elements that as a bespoke manufacture we were able to incorporate into one unit and that still complied with BSEN1176. We safety surfaced this with Rubber Grass mats.

This climber and outdoor multi gym is designed for older children and teens, giving them a challenging upper body and core workout whilst the materials still fitted in beautifully with the rural surroundings, giving superb strength & longevity. The use of galvanised steel feet gives the unit protection against strimmer’s and ground rot.

Safety and aesthetics were paramount throughout the design process:

• We installed Rubber Grass mats as the safety surfacing, providing excellent impact absorption whilst maintaining the natural aesthetic that was so important for this rural location.
• The materials were carefully selected to blend seamlessly with the surrounding landscape, creating a play area that feels like a natural part of the environment rather than an intrusive addition.
