At Rhino Play, we believe that every child has the right to access a safe and enjoyable play area, wherever they are. This is why our dedicated Rhino Play team were thrilled when Paignton Zoo asked the team to install SEN (special educational needs) playground equipment at their popular playground areas.
With over 2,000 animals across 80 acres, this popular zoo is visited by thousands of families every year.
The zoo is home to three outdoor play areas, situated in various locations across the site. The zoo wanted to help encourage and maximise the amount of fun that parents and their children would have when visiting.
So, our dedicated installation team installed an inclusive swing within their ‘Hangout’ area. The swing was fitted to our high-quality Scandinavian Redwood frame, which not only provided a sturdy and safe base for the swing, but also blended in with the existing theme and equipment in the park.
As this swing was installed just before the busy Easter holidays, we also were able to complete necessary inspection, maintenance and repair works across the site, to ensure the safety of the existing playground equipment and completed other repairs in time for the busy Easter Holiday season.
Fantastic for all abilities, including individuals with special needs, our inclusive swings provide children with a secure seat to give every child the ability to engage in stimulating sensory play.
We fixed the HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) moulded seat with a harness, enabling an even safer playground experience. Fitted to our Scandinavian Redwood frame and steel feet to prevent the ground from rotting, this swing will provide endless years of enjoyment for years to come.
