In April 2023, Rhino Play was thrilled to work with Greater Horseshoe School in Heathfield near Newton Abbot. The brief? To create an impressive physical play, climbing and lookout ‘go-to’ structure, that would completely transform their school’s playground.
This fantastic school is committed to providing the best educational experience for young people with complex needs by offering a tailored programme for each individual. The school and pupils were delighted with the climbing structure, which will no doubt contribute to the schools overall mission going forward.
After discussing the school’s needs, determining how much space we had to work with and establishing their budget, our design and planning team recommended we build an all-encompassing conical play tower with a rope bridge. Not only because it will provide endless fun to the students, but it will also encourage them to explore the surrounding environment, their personal boundaries and actively take risks in a safe, controlled environment. Here’s what was featured in this climbing tower:
