Early Years provision for Kingsteignton School – February 2024

During the summer and autumn of 2023, Rhino Play worked closely with Kingsteignton Early Years School to transform their early years foundation stage (EYFS) garden and play area.

Despite being a relatively new school, the existing playground had limited outdoor playground equipment for the students to enjoy. The school’s main aims for the new playground were to install planting facilities, gardening areas and a variety of apparatus to encourage physical play. To make this possible, Rhino Play designed, created and installed a bespoke playground which catered to their specific requirements.

What Did Rhino Play Design For Kingsteignton Early Years School New Playground?

The playground design and planning team took the age requirements of the students and the school’s budget into account when creating their designs.

After discussing the details of the design with the school, we were able to settle on a design that ticked all of their boxes and created a fun, unique and long-lasting play area that would benefit the schools for a long time to come. The final design included:

Cabin Climber - on mulch
