With hundreds of playgrounds designed, installed and maintained by the Rhino Play team, it’s not uncommon for us to repair, maintain or repurpose existing playground features. Christow Parish Council’s, small playground had received a lot of love from local children over the years and the existing rope swing had seen some better days. Christow’s local authorities contacted Rhino Play to see if we were able to repair or replace the old, worn rope swing.
Having lots of experience with building, designing and replacing playground equipment, the team at Rhino Play inspected the rope swing and decided to recycle and repurpose the existing rope and transformed it into a brand new piece of playground equipment for the children to enjoy.
With previous experience in creating a similar design before, the design team were able to adapt and improve the croc swing design. A brand new treated-timber frame was constructed, with stainless steel feet for a secure fit. Giving the people of Christow a bespoke, high-quality piece of equipment which could be enjoyed for many years to come.
The brand new croc swing complimented the surrounding park and play equipment perfectly, as well as fitting the required small space. Now children will be able to enjoy the croc swing as well as the twister slide already installed in the park.
