We were asked by a lovely Cornish school, set in a rural location by the side of the Tamar River, to see if their trim trail could be added to and some existing pieces removed. Some of the old equipment had rotted, and the school wanted rugged replacements that could stand up to the salty air of the nearby river.
We removed the old rotten pieces and installed our rugged, heavy duty play equipment: the Overhead Ladder, the Twister and our Pull Up Bars. The equipment blends in beautifully with the surroundings whilst providing long-lasting playground equipment for all primary ages, offering a considerable upper body challenge in various ways to help the pupils’ development.
For the safety surfacing we installed our rubber grass mats, a tested rubber safety surface designed to blend in with the surroundings and remain unobtrusive. When newly installed it’s quite apparent, but it’s quickly disguised by grass growth, which is ideal for the rural setting.
Our marine grade stainless steel bars offer great resistance against the salty air from the nearby Tamar, so the new equipment will keep performing in a coastal environment where standard materials would deteriorate.
The work was completed over the summer holidays of 2020, and the refreshed trim trail was ready for the pupils to enjoy in the new term.
Whether you’re refreshing tired equipment or installing a new trail from scratch, our team designs and installs trim trails across the South West. Contact us to arrange a free site visit.
