The team at Rhino Play had the unique opportunity to create an exciting beachside play area that perfectly complements its coastal setting in Hayle, Cornwall. Our installation brought a nautical-themed playground to life, designed specifically to withstand the challenges of a sandy beach environment whilst providing endless entertainment for young visitors.

The Brief

The project called for a comprehensive playground installation that would blend seamlessly with its beachfront location. Our client needed a durable, marine-themed play area that could withstand coastal conditions whilst offering diverse play opportunities for children of all ages. The Rhino Play team carefully selected equipment that would not only meet these requirements but also create an immersive seaside play experience.

The Installation

Our expert team installed a variety of engaging play equipment including:

• A centrepiece nautical-themed boat climber, encouraging imaginative maritime adventures
• Two robust turret playground structures complete with slides, challenging net climbers, and exciting fireman’s poles
• Interactive springers for younger children
• A dynamic trim trail to promote physical activity and coordination

Special consideration was given to the unique challenges of installing playground equipment on sand, requiring specialised anchoring techniques and safety surfacing materials suitable for the marine environment.

The Result

The completed playground creates a perfect harmony between fun and functionality, offering children a safe and exciting space to play whilst embracing the natural seaside setting. Each piece of equipment was carefully chosen and positioned to create distinct play zones whilst maintaining clear sightlines for parental supervision.
