Rhino Play were successful in tendering for the complete design, supply & installation for the Fire Fighters Charity’s centre at Harcombe House, Chudleigh, Devon. The charity provides very much needed respite, care, therapy, treatments & breaks away for our very valued fire fighters & their families nationally.
The remit was to provide all weather connecting pathways & stations where play equipment would be located on our all weather rubber mulch natural looking & recycled safety surfacing. This all had to fit into the rural location of the grounds here, on the backdrop of Haldon Hill & centered in a rural valley.
Our heavy duty Scandinavian laminated Redwood fits beautifully in the surroundings, together with its dark green components. The play area offers superb views from the swings set on the edge of a high section, a great place to just sit & convalesce as well as for children to play contentedly. Our gazebo offers superb 360 degree views again from its prominent high position & is great for reading, relaxing, family picnics or a rest from life itself.
The Stroud Castle play towers offers children fantastic play opportunities with all of its features & the underground phones with terminals at each side of the castle.
Our beatifically designed & colorful friendly Dragonfly & Bee sculptures offer somewhere to sit & be admired by all.
Our ground level DDA roundabout is accessible to all users being flush with the surface.
We’ve made the whole area wheelchair accessible too so that all users can enjoy the area as a whole. The play area is a huge asset to this very much appreciated centre & will offer the guests enjoyment, relaxation & family fun times for a long time to come.
