We have just recently completed a ‘playground markings makeover’ for Teignmouth Community Schools Mill Lane site in South Devon. The emphasis was heavily on sports and fitness markings and so to accommodate this we provided a full size netball court for training and matches. This could also be used for smaller sports games by means of a central division in blue. We also snaked our Fitness Adventure Trail around the court and added to this with 3 Fitness Circles too, these provide star jumps, stretching and skipping exercises, great for morning warm ups or for pre-game preparation. Dancers were also catered for with the ‘Mirror Me’ designs, whereby one user copies the hand & feet movements of another. A Smiley Face Compass Clock correctly aligned, gives great playground learning as does the ‘a-z Dragon’. Of course no playground is complete without the addition of a large coloured Hopscotch. Helping to make the new term blues a little brighter.
