Rhino Play has just recently completed this vast & very colorful area of surfacing in an otherwise under used & unloved corner of The Disabilities Trusts Shinewater Court in Eastbourne, East Sussex. Shinewater Court is a purpose built centre, offering accommodation and support to adults with a range of disabilities including cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, spina bifida, arthritis, multiple sclerosis and disabilities resulting from accidents or stroke. The centre wanted to utilise a corner area measuring around a whopping 330m2, to make it more accessible all year & to make it easier to use & cross for those with some severe impairments.
We incorporated a giant chess board, hopscotch & a snakes & ladders within the high quality artificial grass. These games add to the enjoyment of the centre users & provide them numerous ways to interact with others & their environment. We have also included an outdoor skittles alley & giant jenga too that incorporates an inbuilt storage box with a table top to play on! We love changing so many lives for the better & are proud of our work.
