Revitalising Wimbleball – SW Lakes Trust – Wimbleball Lake, Exmoor, Somerset

Throughout the winter and spring period of this year, our dedicated Rhino Play installation teams have undertaken a complete transformation of the play facilities at the picturesque Wimbleball Lake, nestled within the breathtaking landscape of Exmoor National Park in Somerset. This extensive project involved carefully removing outdated equipment and replacing it with modern, engaging play structures and safety surfacing to enhance visitor experiences.

Tailored Play Equipment for All Ages in an Idyllic Setting

Our comprehensive installation included several carefully selected play elements to create an inclusive recreational space:

  • Premium mixed seat swings, strategically positioned in the same location as the previous equipment to maintain site familiarity
  • Charming Exmoor Tower play unit, specifically designed for younger visitors, installed within an existing wet pour rubber surfaced area
  • Updated safety surfacing for the preserved large climber, using our superior Rubber Grass Mats for optimal protection
  • Exceedingly popular Spinning Bowl feature, providing exhilarating sensory play experiences for children of all ages and abilities

Meticulous Timing for Maximum Seasonal Enjoyment

Our expert teams worked diligently to ensure all installations were completed well ahead of the busy summer season, allowing:

  • Seamless integration of new equipment with existing facilities
  • Uninterrupted access to the revitalised play and picnic area during peak visitor periods
  • Maximum enjoyment of the new facilities during the glorious summer sunshine
  • Enhanced visitor experiences at this popular Somerset destination

The project demonstrates our commitment to creating exceptional outdoor play spaces that complement their natural surroundings whilst providing safe, engaging activities for families visiting this stunning reservoir location.

We extend our sincere appreciation to everyone at South West Lakes Trust for selecting Rhino Play to undertake this significant play area enhancement project. We look forward to seeing families enjoy these new facilities for many years to come in this spectacular corner of Somerset.
