Recycled Plastic Trim Trails – Bickleigh Down Primary, Plymouth – May 2023

Rhino Play SW & Bickleigh Down Primary in Plymouth, worked well together to provide their KS1 & KS2 children with new trim trail equipment that would stand the test of time & at the same time be very appealing to the children, providing opportunities for balancing, co-ordination, traversing, core & creative play together with team play.

We at Rhino Play designed, manufactured & installed the whole trim trail using our locally collected, melted & re-manufactured plastic, made in the UK from plastic diverted from landfill. This recycled plastic material never rots & so is extremely long lasting, however when it needs to be replaced or disposed of then it’s fully recyclable too, making it the perfect material to use for any environmentally conscious school & MAT.

As you can see it not only looks great & does the job very well, but it also has a very reduced carbon footprint too.

We also laid the recycled Rubber Mulch over 4 areas to make otherwise unusable areas very usable! The material compliments our recycled plastic trim trail & play equipment very well as you can see.

There was an otherwise unused corner of a playground that the school required ideas for. The children & staff wanted a surface that could be used all year & also an area for shelter, shade & some where to sit, play games, eat packed lunches & undertake small outdoor study sessions……We again came up with our Roofed Table complete with a Games Table Top & a surface again of Rubber Mulch.
