High Fun in Axminster, All Saints, Axminster, Devon – July 2025

All Saints Primary School, nestled near Axminster in the picturesque East Devon countryside, approached Rhino Play with a challenging request: to install our premium Overhead Ladder system adjacent to their existing climber whilst working within the strict constraints of a fenced area on the school grounds. True to our reputation for creative problem-solving, we developed an ingenious solution to accommodate their needs (as we always do!).

Enhancing Physical Development for Key Stage 2 Pupils

We successfully installed the impressive Overhead Ladder system, which serves multiple developmental purposes:

  • Significantly improves upper body strength in growing children
  • Develops essential core stability and coordination
  • Provides appropriate physical challenges for Key Stage 2 pupils
  • Encourages progressive skill development through regular use
  • Creates opportunities for confidence-building through achievable challenges

The installation process included several technical considerations to ensure safety and longevity:

  • Comprehensive safety surfacing using high-quality Rubber Grass Mats installed to the correct regulatory extents
  • Careful adjustment of the existing playground surfacing to seamlessly integrate with the new equipment
  • Installation using premium galvanised steel feet, which completely eliminates the risk of ground rot
  • Protection against accidental strimmer damage during routine ground maintenance
  • Weather-resistant materials suitable for the variable Devon climate

We extend our sincere thanks to everyone at All Saints Church of England School and the STC Multi-Academy Trust for entrusting us with this specialised installation. We look forward to seeing how this equipment enhances the physical development and enjoyment of the school’s pupils for many years to come.
