Combe Pafford School Playground Seating

Background

Combe Pafford School in Torquay had a sloping open area of land at the front of the school which had been laid with green & yellow wet pour.  The client wanted the area to be better used rather than just a thoroughfare and so contacted Rhino Play to discuss their options.

The Brief

With a limited budget for their school play area, the talented Rhino Play team had to come up with an affordable, effective and attractive project. The RP design team love a challenge so this was something to test their talents!

The Solution

The answer was to build a seating area on 2 levels to compliment the slope and to meet the budget, it was to have no roof. The split level of the seating allowed the design to offer plenty of options for where to sit and give the product an attractive appearance.

To finish off the project a round picnic table and stools was added to the centre of the wet pour area. The area was on a significant slope. To give the item some style the table and stools were installed on the level meaning the seating varied in height offering seating options for all ages and a useable table.

The client is delighted with the finished product and the amount of children now using the area.
