Climbing The Walls In Somerset – December 2020

Rhino Play were recently asked to supply & fit traversing routes across an old brick building in the playground at Penn Mill Infants in Yeovil. The fitting of these resin climbing grips provided the children another focus & activity to participate in during break times & PE lessons.

The Project – What We Installed

  • Resin Climbing Grips – Fitted directly onto an existing brick wall
  • Traversing Routes – Allowing children to climb horizontally across the wall
  • Low-Level Installation – No mandatory safety surfacing required

A Great All-Round Activity

This simple idea doesn’t require any playground space to be taken up and never needs staff to clear away or set up – making it an ideal low-maintenance addition to any school playground.

Why Choose A Traverse Climbing Wall?

Traverse climbing walls offer excellent value for schools looking to enhance their playground. They use existing wall space rather than taking up playground floor area, require no setup or clearing away by staff, and because the grips are fitted at a low level there’s no mandatory requirement for safety surfacing. This makes them a very viable and affordable option to really help improve children’s health and fitness.
