Class work in Cornwall – December 2021

We were successful in winning a project that involved 3 areas within the same Cornish Primary School in central Truro. One project was to create some creative physical play opportunities for KS1 children on an otherwise unused sloping grass area beneath the playground. We designed, manufactured & installed a linked system that used the whole of the grass slope & provided numerous climbing, sliding, crawling, balancing, creative & role play opportunities. This particularly appealing design used colours & our new styles of creating curving timbers & linking items with steel corded ropes for some ingenious play options. The unit featured is our ‘Slopey Joe’ embankment tower system connected to our Hawks Tor Log Climber.

The KS2 children needed some challenging upper body equipment that provide them with some non prescriptive play & physical challenges.  Our ever popular Lustleigh Climber won here & ticks all of the boxes for this age group. We safety surfaced the area with our rubber grass mats.

The garden area involved lots of various different work, from a pebble river where the children placed in their own painted pebbles to be permanently located within the garden to a very colourful religious circle, a covered story-time & outdoor learning house using or Forest House. We also created a raised planting area with a central cross as well as all weather rubber bonded mulch pathways & a bridge crossing the pebble river.

As you can see nothing is beyond us, so if you have ideas similar to this & are unsure as to how you implement them please get in touch so that we can help.
