Camelot Castle at St Edmunds College, Herts – May 2022

Last year Rhino Play was contacted by St Edmunds College in Ware, Herts. This private boarding and day college wanted to replace its old playground equipment and wanted something which would blend in with the prestigious and historic backdrop of the prestigious public school and rural surroundings.

What Did Rhino Play Create For St Edmunds College?

The school had previously seen the Rhino Play’s bespoke themed product ranges and wanted a play unit which would appeal to children of all ages and abilities. Rhino Play’s design team created the now popular Camelot Castle. The school appreciated the historical element of the castle’s namesake, as well as the wide selection of play elements for children across the key stages.

St Edmunds caters for pupils from the ages of 3 to 18, so needed an inclusive environment where younger and older children can develop their physical, social and mental abilities outside of the classroom environment. The new Camelot Castle was designed with turrets, traverse and climbing walls, castle ramps and drawbridge rope bridges, turrets and much more.

What Are The Benefits Of The New Playground Equipment?

As St Edmunds houses and teaches pupils aged three and above, it was important that they had a safe environment where children can develop and improve their physical and social skills. The new Rhino Play playground equipment helps encourage children to develop the following skills:
