Over the last year of lockdown & Covid, we at Rhino Play have been working on designing, supplying & installing a whole new playground for the villagers & parish of Cheriton Fitzpaine, near Crediton, Mid Devon. Their old equipment had come to the end of its useful life & so Rhino Play were chosen to replace various elements. Access was a bit of an issue but we overcame this with our modular section built equipment & working in collaboration with the parish we managed to get a vehicle close by & use the facilities of the parish hall. We provided our new ‘Crooked Range‘ play unit called ‘The Rydon Crooked Castle‘ which is absolutely stunning & stands out from any other. This was provided for the younger EYFS & KS1 children.
We also provided our popular ‘Lustleigh Quad Climber’ that we adapted to fit a tower & slide onto. We landscaped this into the side of the sloping grass & safety surfaced it with our bonded rubber mulch (forest coloured), which looks fantastic & also provides the required safety cushioning at the correct depth & all weather use. At the lower end of the park we provided a set of Cradle Seat Swings, fitted with a birds nest seat, a cradle & a flat safety seat. We safety surfaced these with our rubber grass mats that blend in with the turf & natural surroundings. All in all a lovely project to have undertaken locally.
