Are you looking to transform your school, nursery or commercial playground for 2023? Trim trails are the perfect addition to any outdoor playground and can be easily slotted into existing playground equipment. Not only can trim trails be designed to fit all budget and size requirements but they also provide children with a high-quality, safe and challenging area where they can develop mentally and physically.
Trim trails, otherwise known as fitness trails or adventure courses, are a series of apparatus installed in a line, circle or another shape to form an obstacle course. The aim is to get from one end of the trail to the other, completing all of the obstacles.
Here at Rhino Play, we offer a wide range of trim trail apparatus, available in either treated timber or recycled plastic, designed to be long-lasting, secure and safe for children of all ages and abilities to enjoy.
Having access to fun and challenging outdoor playground equipment comes with a wide range of benefits for children of all ages. By installing Rhino Play trim trails in your commercial playground, not only will you be providing children with a unique outdoor playground experience, but you will also benefit from the following:
While here at Rhino Play, we work hard to bring you a wide variety of obstacle courses designed to challenge and excite children from the early year’s foundation stage (EYFS) to KS2. Including our five favourite trim trail apparatus:
Challenge children’s balancing ability on the fun and strenuous swinging log steps. This popular piece of trim trail equipment helps children improve their balance and agility. Or they can even ‘level’ up the equipment by seeing if two children can cross through the log steps in opposite directions.
The split traverse wall can be a fantastic addition to any trim trail course; the open element of the wall means that parents or teachers can easily supervise the use of the traverse wall.
The traverse wall can also be designed to be as hard or as easy as you would like, or you could even have two ranges of difficulty, on either side of the wall. Great for gross motor skills, grip strength, physical fitness and problem-solving.
Perfect for younger children, the inclined tunnel is a great way to switch up the muscles being used in your trim trail. The inclined tunnel is a piece of crawling equipment that can be easily slotted into your trim trail, designed to challenge children with a slight incline. Bonus, the inclined tunnel also drains well, so can be used all year round.
Not only do the traversing trees look great, but they are also a fantastic addition to any trim tail or outdoor play area. Include as many traversing trees as you like, at varying distances apart and angles to provide a challenging element to your trim trail.
To complete the traversing trees, children must successfully navigate their way through the trees, using only the hand and feet grips provided.
Rhino Play’s weaver net is always a firm favourite when it comes to schools and commercial playgrounds designing their trim trails. The weaver net provides a low-level trim trail experience, where children can engage their upper body and core in a bid to successfully weave their way from one end of the rope to another.
The weaver net can be tackled on an individual basis or as a double act, helping to promote healthy teamwork, social skills and problem-solving.
